Provide your group with a unique educational experience in Asheville, North Carolina and meet award winning author, Robert Beatty. Tour the historic Biltmore Estate, George Vanderbilt's "little mountain escape" built in the 1890's and the setting for the Serafina book series. After lunch, meet Robert Beatty and learn about his journey writing the Serafina book series.
The Biltmore House guided tour gives students an up close view of Gilded Age architecture and include historic artifacts and engaging stories of life in the early 1900’s. Each Serafina event includes an interactive discussion with Robert Beatty on the Serafina books and the creative writing process, a showing of the exciting book trailers from the first three books, and an in-depth look at the characters, setting, and the plot lines. After a Q&A session, Mr. Beatty will be available to sign autographs and take pictures with the students.
Serafina Events will be held at the Asheville Masonic Temple theatre and are based on a minimum of 150 paying participants. Smaller groups will be combined until the minimum is met. The maximum for any one event is 300 total participants. Travel packages including round trip motorcoach transportation, guided student tour of the Biltmore Estate, lunch, a travel team member on each bus, and meet the author event are provided by Orange Sky Travel.
