As an exclusive student travel provider, we have taken thousands of students across Georgia for unforgettable day and overnight field trips. One of our favorite destinations is the charming gold-rush town of Dahlonega, GA—a hidden gem in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains! Dahlonega’s rich history, small-town charm, and hands-on learning opportunities make it the perfect place for students of all ages to explore.

On October 11th, we are partnering with the city of Dahlonega to welcome educators from Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee to experience its student-friendly activities…for FREE. Bring your spouse and/or family to enjoy a fun-filled day and see why Dahlonega is an incredible choice for student field trips!

Please note that this trip is intended for 3rd–8th grade teachers and administrators and online bookings are required for all participants. Space is limited, and a maximum of 4 educators per school will be permitted to attend. Selections will be made during the booking process and additional add-ons are available. Please see the list of current participating vendors below. Vendors are subject to change.

Free activities for all participants:

Consolidated Gold Mine

Dahlonega is the site of the first major U.S. Gold Rush with gold being discovered in 1828. Explore this gold mine to learn about the various techniques that miners used and the history of gold in America, and pan for gems or gold to take home some treasure of your own!

Amicalola Falls State Park: Guided Hike & Birds of Prey
