Early-Bird Pricing
GREAT REASONS TO BOOK EARLY
Book the trip at its best price!
Pay the lowest possible deposit.
Make smaller payments per month.
Add Travel Protection (trip insurance) at the lowest price.
Booking early means no waitlist worries.
+ Why does Orange Sky now include Early-Bird Pricing?
Early-Bird Pricing provides an incentive to travelers to book their trip as soon as possible after the kickoff date. The earlier travelers book, the more likely the trip succeeds without the need for supplemental payments and/or inclusion adjustments from the school. Earlier bookings also help Group Leaders make key decisions about the number of buses, hotel rooms, meals, and tickets needed to support their trip.
+ When does Early-Bird Pricing expire and who can take advantage of it?
Early-Bird Pricing expires on the Last Chance to Book date reflected on the trip payment schedule. These reduced prices are available to both students and adults. Travelers that book after the Last Chance to Book date will pay standard package rates (typically $20 - $50 more per traveler) because they were not included in the original group reservations with vendors.
+ What happens at the Initial Deposit Due date?
The Initial Deposit Due is the deadline for travelers to secure the lowest available deposit amount. Travelers are encouraged to book before this date.
+ What happens at the Last Chance to Book date?
One week after the Last Chance to Book date, initial group reservations will be confirmed with vendors and additional space (buses, hotels, etc.) may be added or released. Travelers may continue to book the trip after this date upon availability and at the standard rates. Other restrictions and/or price adjustments may apply to new bookings at this date.
This is also the date when Group Leaders will make the critical decision to continue (Go) or cancel (No Go) the trip if trip minimums are not met.
+ What does the *** symbol mean that is located to certain non-refundable payment dates?
Anytime the symbol *** is used, all travelers must also be up to date on payments due or be subject to cancellation. During the following week, Group Leaders will be notified of any past-due travelers, and Orange Sky Travel will be remove these travelers from the trip on behalf of the school.
The All-In Deadline is also used to begin the process of creating bus, hotel room, and chaperone group (list) assignments.
+ What happens when a trip does not meet its minimums?
Each trip is priced according to a minimum number of paying travelers for the trip to continue as planned. If a group does not meet its Trip Minimum (the minimum amount of paying travelers for 1 bus) and cancels after the Last Chance to Book date due to low numbers, we are typically able to offer a full refund to all booked travelers.
If a trip does not meet its Bus Minimums (minimum amount of paying travelers per bus) after the Last Chance to Book date, the following options may be available to help the trip succeed:
- Invite more participants from within the school (such as another grade or group) or another school.
- Provide a supplemental payment from the school or other fund (Fundraising, PTA, Booster, etc.).
- Ask a limited number of adults to drive behind the motorcoach.
- Alter the amount or types of trip inclusions and/or included meals (when available).
- Limit the number of buses or travelers.
